Terms of Service
Last updated 30 July 2026. These Terms form a contract between you and [Add sole trader's legal name], ABN [Add ABN], trading as SQL Snippet Garden.
By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
SQL Snippet Garden is a hosted platform for creating, storing, organising, formatting, sharing, translating, reviewing, and explaining SQL snippets. It is designed primarily for professional and business use.
Features may include AI-generated content. The Service does not connect to or execute queries against your production database unless a separate feature expressly says so.
2. Accounts and authorised users
You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity by people you authorise to use your account or workspace.
Team workspace owners control invitations and membership. Workspace members can view and edit shared snippets, so only invite people who should have that access.
3. Your content and data
You retain ownership of SQL, prompts, descriptions, tags, and other content you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, copy, transmit, process, and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service.
You must have the rights and authority required to submit content. Do not include passwords, secret keys, unnecessary personal information, health information, or other sensitive data in snippets or AI prompts.
If you enable a public share link, anyone with the link may view that snippet. You are responsible for checking the snippet before making it public and for disabling the link when it is no longer required.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to break the law, infringe rights, access systems without authority, distribute malicious code, harass others, interfere with the Service, probe security controls without written permission, scrape the Service, resell access without agreement, or evade usage and rate limits.
You remain responsible for reviewing SQL before executing it, using appropriate database permissions, and maintaining suitable backups.
5. AI features and fair use
AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, insecure, or unsuitable for your schema. It is generated from the information you provide and is not professional, legal, financial, or database-administration advice. You must review and test output before relying on or executing it.
Paid AI allowances, input limits, and rate limits are disclosed on the Pricing page. Pro allowances apply across the subscriber’s account; Team allowances are pooled across the subscribed workspace. Failed model requests do not count. We may temporarily restrict abusive automation or attempts to bypass these controls.
6. Subscriptions, renewal, taxes, and cancellation
Paid subscriptions are charged in advance and automatically renew for successive monthly periods until cancelled. The plan, currency, recurring price, taxes (if applicable), and total payable are shown before checkout. Stripe processes payments; we do not store full payment-card details.
Any applicable taxes and the final subscription total are shown before payment.
You may cancel at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewal and normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Except where required by law, we do not provide change-of-mind refunds or credits for a partially used billing period.
We may change prices by giving at least 30 days’ notice. A price change applies no earlier than your next renewal after the notice period. You may cancel before it takes effect.
7. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law. These protections can apply to eligible business purchases as well as personal purchases.
If the Service fails to meet a non-excludable guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy such as correction, cancellation, a refund for an unused portion, or compensation, depending on the law and circumstances.
8. Service availability and changes
We use reasonable care in operating the Service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, security incidents, provider outages, and events outside our reasonable control may affect access.
We may change or discontinue features where reasonably necessary. For a material reduction to a paid feature, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable and, if the change materially disadvantages you, allow you to cancel before it takes effect.
9. Our intellectual property
We and our licensors own the Service, software, design, branding, documentation, and related intellectual property, excluding your content. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service during your account term in accordance with these Terms.
If you provide feedback, you permit us to use it without restriction or payment, but we will not identify you publicly without permission.
10. Third-party providers
The Service relies on providers including Supabase for hosting and authentication, Stripe for billing, and OpenAI for AI features. Their availability can affect the Service. Their handling of information is described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimers and liability
Subject to section 7, the Service is supplied on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or loss caused by your execution of SQL or reliance on AI output.
To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of AUD $100 and the fees you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Where the law permits liability for a non-excludable service guarantee to be limited, our liability is limited to resupplying the services or paying the reasonable cost of resupply.
These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or to our fraud, wilful misconduct, or gross negligence.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security risk, unlawful conduct, harm to others, or where required by law. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue.
Before closing an account, export content you need. Following termination, we may delete content after a reasonable period, subject to backups, legal obligations, fraud prevention, and legitimate recordkeeping requirements.
13. Disputes
Please first contact us with details of the dispute so both parties can try to resolve it in good faith. Nothing in this section prevents either party seeking urgent relief, exercising rights under the Australian Consumer Law, or contacting a regulator or external dispute-resolution body.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For a material change, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice where practicable. If a change materially disadvantages you, you may cancel before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. General
These Terms and documents expressly incorporated into them form the agreement between the parties. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. A failure to enforce a right is not a waiver.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. The parties submit to the courts of that State and the Commonwealth of Australia, subject to any mandatory rights you have elsewhere.
